The Song Thief
Edwardian Northumberland is the setting for this romantic tale of a young London Composer who arrives in Allendale to experience its vanishing folk culture before it disappears forever. But his search for one particular haunting love song arouses conflicting passions betwenn the locals and their visitor.
The People's Theatre is proud to present the stage première of our president Michael Chaplin's play The Song Thief, which was originally aired on BBC Radio 4. Michael's writing may be familiar to many of our audience members through his TV work on shows such as Monarch of the Glen and Grafters.
