Donate to help us through this crisis

We need your help

Since we were forced to close our doors, we've been incredibly touched by the support our audience members have shown us. We really appreciate the lovely messages we've received, as well as the generous donations that have been made.

There's still a lot of work to do in order to make sure we'll be able to welcome you back to the People's when it's safe to do so. We don't receive any public funds, so the vast majority of our revenue comes from ticket sales.

While the theatre is closed, we have no regular income but significant bills to pay. Before we reopen, we'll need to make changes to our building and our way of working to ensure the safety of our members, staff and audiences, in an already financially challenging environment.

In order to survive, we're depending on the support of our community through this crisis. With your help, the phoenix will rise.

Subscribe to our Supporters' Newsletter
If you'd like to be kept up to date on ways you can support us to weather this storm, please sign up to our supporters' mailing list. We'll send you occasional updates on our progress and information on how you can help.

There are several ways to donate...

To make a single donation, please visit our PayPal Giving page. We'll receive 100% of your donation. You can set up a free PayPal account during the donation process if you don't have one already.

To make a monthly donation, please sign up at Virgin Money Giving. You can also make a one-off donation this way, but a fee will be deducted from the amount you donate.

If you're eligible, please remember to add Gift Aid to your donation when prompted - we'll receive an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give.

Shop with Amazon Smile
Amazon will donate 0.5% of the total price of any purchase when you use their Amazon Smile programme, at no extra cost to you. Search for People's Theatre Arts Group in the "pick your own charitable organisation" box, and remember to use smile.amazon.co.uk rather than www.amazon.co.uk each time you shop.

Sell on eBay for Charity
You can donate a portion of the sale price of anything you sell on eBay (and reduce your seller fees at the same time) by using eBay for Charity. It's quick and easy to set up, then you sell and ship your items as normal.

Donate by Cheque
Please make your cheque payable to: People’s Theatre Arts Group Ltd and write your postcode and “Donation” on the back. Please post it to: Kate Scott, Treasurer, People’s Theatre, Stephenson Road, Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 5QF.
