Face coverings are legally required in theatres.
All theatregoers aged 12+ must wear a face covering throughout your visit to the People's Theatre including in the foyer, bar spaces and in the auditorium during the performance.
We recognise that some people are exempt from wearing face coverings. Please remember that not all disabilities are visible: please respect and be kind to others.
Not only is this a legal requirement, but it helps you keep your fellow audience members - as well as our volunteers and staff - safe and comfortable when in the People’s. We also want to avoid having to cancel performances and disappoint audiences.
You do not need to use a NHS COVID pass. These passes currently only apply to very large venues and unseated venues.
These requirements are subject to change in-line with updated Government guidance.

What if you can't attend due to COVID?
If you can no longer attend because you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or are required to self-isolate, you can exchange your ticket(s) prior to the event (subject to availability) or we will issue a credit note which can be used to book for a future People's Theatre production.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, postcode and booking details, and we will arrange it. Or you can ring us on 0191 265 5020 (opening times here)
In the event that the performance is cancelled because of local or national Government restrictions, you will be contacted and offered a credit note or full refund.
