Description
Sibling rivalry, adultery and dungeons in this sharp, darkly funny modern classic.
Set over Christmas 1183, James Goldman’s play brings the fractured Plantagenet family together for a battle of wits and ambitions.
When Eleanor of Aquitaine, once queen and now prisoner, is released to join King Henry II and their sons, it sets in motion a dangerous game of power, manipulation, and deception.
Wickedly comic and emotionally charged, this is a gripping portrait of a royal family at war with itself.
