"as close to flawless as I have ever seen ... everything theatre should be" - Northern Arts Review

“It doesn’t get any easier. It gets worse.”
Adam is spending his gap-year backpacking overseas, but he’s gone missing in the Far East.
At home, his mother and stepfather are stuck in limbo, agonising over the mystery of his disappearance – was in killed in a bomb explosion in Jakarta, or is there still hope he’s alive?
Then, suddenly, six months after vanishing, their son seemingly reappears. But is he the real thing?
Northumberland-born Shelagh Stephenson is one of the country’s most acclaimed contemporary playwrights, and this psychological thriller is a powerful and unsettling study of parental grief, hope, and the lengths people will go to find the missing pieces of their lives.
