Description
Based on the true story of Ruth Ellis, the single mother and nightclub hostess who was the last woman hanged in Britain, this gripping drama invites you into the dark underworld and seedy glamour of 1950s London.
Weaving known facts with imagined scenarios, Whittington takes a new look at the real woman behind the headlines and at the events which drove her to murder.
Part noir thriller, part poignant character study, what unfolds is a tragic story of love and betrayal, shattered dreams, and broken bodies.
